The mechanical, electrical, and chemical properties of enameled aluminum wire differ from those of copper enameled wire due to inherent differences in conductor materials. Enamelled aluminum wire is sometimes used in large transformers and motors, but due to its lower electrical conductivity, the cross-sectional area of ​​aluminum enameled wire must be 1.6 times that of copper wire to achieve comparable DC resistance. Smaller diameter enameled wires usually have a circular cross-section. Thicker aluminum magnet wire is usually square or rectangular (with rounded corners) for more efficient use of available winding space.

It is suitable for medium and long-term operation of 200 ℃ refrigeration equipment and chemical corrosion electrical equipment, dry-type transformers, oil-immersed transformers and epoxy casting transformers, iron removers, electromagnets, and other electromechanical equipment.
